Canoe the pond, take a dip or suntan on the docks. Toss a hook and plan on trout for dinner. Search out elusive wild mushrooms or hunt huckleberries. Wildlife abounds: elk, deer, moose, bear, bobcats, cougars, grouse, hawks, mink, pine marten, muskrat, otter, fisher, and turkeys. Bird watching is a great favorite in the Audubon paradise. Hunters return year after year. 300 miles of groomed trails make for the greatest snowmobiling you'll find anywhere, or see the country close up from miles of pine-lined, cross- country ski trails. Enjoy small-town life in a friendly community of 150. Elk River welcomes you to come share the adventures!
