Potlatch

Potlatch, Idaho
Region: Palouse Region in North Central Idaho
County: Latah
Location: 18 miles North of Moscow on Hwy 95

The community of Potlatch began as a company town for Potlatch Forests Inc, once boasting the largest sawmill in the world and a booming forestry industry. Surviving great changes in the timber industry, Potlatch has become a thriving community with a more diverse economy consisting of agriculture, mining, and recreation in addition to the timber industry.

The spectacular scenery surrounding Potlatch consists of deep pine forests and grassy meadows, clear rivers and babbling mountain streams, providing year-round recreational opportunities. Potlatch provides excellent accommodations for hunting, fishing, camping, and other recreational activities.

The local communities of Potlatch, Onaway, Princeton, and Harvard all enjoy great location, moderate climate, fertile soils, lush forests, and a strong sense of community that makes the area an excellent place to call home.
