North Central Idaho is home to a wide range of wildlife habitat. The wild and diverse landscape provides many opportunities to view animals and birds in their natural habitat. Specific areas along state highways indicate wildlife viewing areas with signs featuring binoculars. Outfitters and guides offer wildlife viewing trips.

Visit the Wolf Education and Research Center to view the Rocky Mountain Gray Wolf. The site encompasses 20 acres of rolling timberland with meadows and streams. Interactive and informative displays are at the Visitor Center. P: 208 924-6960, W: www.wolfcenter.org
