Greetings from Exodus on the Salmon River in Riggins! Fish report for the week of Nov 1-7 HOT!
This week the fishing continued to stay HOT! Guide personal bests continued and first timers, George and Linda Eldridge from Deeth Nevada, landed 20 fish while fishing out of the drift boat. What a day…can you imagine that being your first steelhead experience? Double digit hook up days were still common and this week’s largest fish, caught by Glen Brown from OR, was a 35” native. Glen was fishing with drift boat guide, Brad Sawyer. Congratulations Glen! And Exodus guest Jeff Clifford is still leading the Riggins Steelhead Derby with his big hatchery fish measuring in at 33.5”.
With ideal water temperatures and ideal water levels the fishing continues to be hot and it is definitely time to book your steelhead fishing trip before the fall season is over. Last week 91 Exodus clients hooked into 272 fish and landed 172 of them; that is an average of 3.0 fish hooked into per guest per day and 1.9 fish landed per guest per day.
