13th Annual Apalousey Trail Ride & Dutch Oven Potluck

Date: 6 August 2010 12:00 to 08 August 2010 12:00
Details: The Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center invites local horse enthusiasts to load up their horses and camping gear for a weekend of adventure with the 13th Annual Apalousey Trail Ride!  This all-breed trail ride will be held August 6-8, 2010 at the Pony Club Grounds on George Hatley’s (aka Mr. Appaloosa) ranch just outside of Deary, Idaho.

The fun begins Friday, August 6 for check-in, a short trail ride and evening performance by the Old Time Fiddlers Association.  Begin morning with a trek along Palouse trails, ending the day with wagon rides, the locally renowned Dutch Oven Dinner, or enter the cookoff, a silent auction and evening performances from Shiloh Sharrard followed by Bodie Dominguez.  The weekend concludes with a hearty breakfast followed by a morning trail ride.

All proceeds from the Apalousey Trail Ride, Dinner and Auction will benefit the Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center.

For more information about the Apalousey Trail Ride, please call (208)882-5578, ext. 279 or e-mail museum@appaloosa.com.

The Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center is a non-profit organization established in 1975 to collect, study and exhibit objects and information that illustrate the Appaloosa horse and the history of the Palouse region.
