Salmon River Fishing Trips

Steelhead and Salmon Fishing in Idaho

For the ultimate freshwater fishing experience, join us in the fall or spring for steelhead fishing season on the Salmon River. These migratory fish are hatched in Idaho, make their way to the Pacific Ocean and return to Idaho after spending 1-3 years in the ocean. During the course of our season we see fish in the range of 6-18 lbs. Our early fall trips feature the most ferocious steelhead with vicious takedowns on plugs and flies. Once the water cools toward the end of October we begin to see bigger B run fish. These are the real monsters of the river! From November on through the rest of the season we see lots of fish in the 10-16 lb range.

We offer ½ and 1 day Salmon River jet boat tours. To experience the beauty of the Main or Lower Salmon River in a short amount of time, jump on board the Salmon River Spirit, our 30-foot jet boat for a thrilling high speed ride. Early spring is definitely the best time to join our tours; it offers more opportunities to view wildlife, no crowds and plenty of water for our boats to fly through the river corridor.
