We call Canyon House the "You just gotta stop shop".  There's always something new, and the fantastic espresso and our famous homemade cookies make it hard NOT to stop in. We try really hard to fill our store with things that you won't find at other places.  Besides great gifts, we also carry pop, beer, wine, (the best in Idaho, according to Nicole), snacks, fishing tackle and other such items that you may need while traveling or sitting on the river.  Oooh, the beautiful Salmon River....

We also have a vacation suite right here at Canyon House that makes it very easy for you to access the River of No Return and the Snake River in Hell's Canyon as well.

There are so many things to do here in White Bird or near by.  There is hunting, fishing, jet boating, white water rafting, horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hiking,...and one of our favorite things to do is just drive around and enjoy all the beautiful vistas on the back roads.

White Bird is chalked full of interesting history.  You can learn about the Nez Perce war by driving about a mile north of town where the battle occurred.  There are historic buildings with 'tales to tell'.  If you need any information or help in any way, just ask a local.  The people in this town are some of the best people you'll ever meet and they are always willing to lend a helping hand.

We have four very different seasons here and all of them offer so much!  We are grateful to live in the best place on earth and we feel very blessed to have Canyon House, and the opportunity to share it with you.  We hope to see you soon!
