Moscow (pronounced Mos-co) is a vibrant university-centric town surrounded by open and scenic terrain with unique dry-land farming. Lake Missoula glacial flows carved out the topography, called the Palouse, into beautiful rolling hills ideal for golf, bicycle and motorcycle touring, mountain biking, hiking, and scenic drives. Small towns, wineries, artisan and art studio visits are great distractions along the way. Thanks to the University of Idaho, and Washington State University 7 miles away, visitors and residents have easy access to diverse cultural, artistic and recreational events, and wonderful local foods and wines.
